About

I’m your average working mama of two married to a man who rocks my world. This is my journey in the eco-friendly and holistic world. I’m not a full-on treehugger, but I’ve raised my own meat chickens to get on the “local and sustainable” bandwagon. Much to the dismay of my 9-year-old son, I feel the need to sneak lots of organic kale and such into everything I cook, but I am not above chowing down on my famous chocolate souffle. If it’s healthy, then it better taste good, too. I’ll write more about me later. In the meantime, hope you try some recipes and have a laugh along the way.
Who We Are:
Enya: Mama, massage therapist, foodie, Filipino-American longing for my yaya, tickled over organic fruit leather at Target, over the moon about my new leather leggings, has 14 laying hens to take care of.
Ol’ William: Daddy, Steppy (stepdad), musician, dreamy husband who built my greenhouse, refuses to give up any of our 2-acre yard for my compost heap, one request when I married him was for me to replicate his Auntie Ann’s babka recipe.
The Boy: a.k.a. Mouth, 9-year-old son, tries to figure out if I’ve hidden quinoa in his waffles again, will only wear clothes devoid of stripes and are either black, red, or blue, has requested that I stop calling him Googie.
The Punk (Punkin’): 2-year-old daughter, loves Dora and all things musical, never met a blueberry she didn’t like, very good at being 2, mostly I like to refer to her as “The Beast” or simply “Beastly.”
Enjoy!

Wonderful to meet you!
I love your blog! You are the hidden inspiation for all moms outthere!!!!!!
Found you at the Holistic Moms Twitter party! Great blog! And I’m so glad I stopped by your site. I’m on a going green mission, taking baby steps, but still pointed in the right direction. I haven’t raised any hens, but trying to educate myself so my children (ages 2 and 7) can grow up aware of healthy choices for both themselves and the planet. I actually plan on starting a new blog (ecoscrapbook.com~still in the works) to share my explorations, kind of like what you are doing here except I’m sure I won’t be doing any hen dancing
Those pics are cute by the way!! Looking forward to learning more from you!
Wow, I think we were separated at birth
